Chairman & Founder, Laado Society
Preety Joshi’s preliminary education accomplished in Bundi city of Rajasthan. She received her higher education at Kota. She graduated in science from Ajmer University, completed her Master’s degree in International Development from Kota University, and Master’s in Journalism & Mass Communications from Vardhman Open University. Year 2004 saw the beginning of her career in journalism after she received a special training in journalism at Dainik Bhaskar newspaper’s Bhaskar Academy, Bhopal. Preeti’s career as a journalist evolved and flourished while working with prominent newspapers like Dainik Bhaskar, Rajasthan Patrika, Amar Ujala (Noida) and Udai India ( Delhi). With her creativity and journalistic acumen, Preeti impressively covered pertinent issues relating art, culture & heritage and presented news from arenas like social, political and crime. Throughout her journalistic journey, she constantly enlightened both, the government and the society with her news presentations skills. She has scripted many programs, films and serials on television (Doordarshan) and radio (Aakashwani), which were socially significant and inspiring. A telefilm, Veer Durgadas is one such piece of art.
The intricate tasks of search, collection and compilation of news bits and testing them for their credibility, gave Preety an unusual insight to look at society’s evils and ordeals that needed to be done away with for country’s better future. Our society is laden with a multitude of ills and malpractices that have been incorporated either out of social compulsion or ignorance with no individual or organization questioning or endeavoring to eradicate them. Preety studied these evils with a razor sharp vision and decided to take a step forward in combating them. With this noble thought, Preety, continuing her journalistic work, founded the organization – Laado with motivation and cooperation of some like minded friends. With Laado, Preety Joshi started her magnificent enterprise towards those hidden aspects of rural development and women & children welfare which have hitherto eluded the social and political eye.
